How it works with Debrid

Infuse connects to your Real-Debrid library via WebDAV (a network file protocol). You'll use a service like Zurg that exposes your Real-Debrid downloads as a WebDAV share. Infuse then browses and streams files directly from Real-Debrid's servers.

Step 1: Get Real-Debrid

1.1 Create an account

  1. 1. Go to real-debrid.com
  2. 2. Click "Sign Up" and create an account with your email
  3. 3. Verify your email address

1.2 Choose a plan

Plan Price Per Month
15 days €3 €6/mo
30 days €4 €4/mo
90 days €9 €3/mo
180 days €16 €2.67/mo ✓ Best value

Tip: Start with 30 days (€4) to test, then upgrade to 180 days for best value.

1.3 Get your API key

  1. 1. Log in to Real-Debrid
  2. 2. Go to real-debrid.com/apitoken
  3. 3. Copy your API key — you'll need this for WebDAV setup

Keep this key private! Anyone with your API key can use your Real-Debrid account.

Step 2: Install Infuse

2.1 Download Infuse

Visit firecore.com/infuse or download from the App Store on your Apple device:

📱 iPhone
📲 iPad
📺 Apple TV
💻 Mac

2.2 Get Infuse Pro

WebDAV connections require Infuse Pro. You have two options:

Annual subscription

$10/year

Best for trying it out. Cancel anytime.

Lifetime purchase

$15 one-time

Best value. Pay once, own forever.

Family Sharing: Infuse Pro supports Apple Family Sharing, so one purchase works for up to 6 family members.

Step 3: Set up WebDAV with Zurg

3.1 Understanding WebDAV

WebDAV is a protocol that allows Infuse to browse your Real-Debrid library as if it were a network drive. To connect Infuse to Real-Debrid, you need a WebDAV server that bridges the two services.

The most popular solution is Zurg, a lightweight service that exposes Real-Debrid via WebDAV. You can run Zurg yourself or use a hosted service.

3.2 Option A: Use ElfHosted (Easiest)

ElfHosted offers fully managed Zurg hosting starting at $0.10/day. This is the easiest option — no setup required.

  1. 1. Sign up at elfhosted.com
  2. 2. Subscribe to the "Zurg" app
  3. 3. Enter your Real-Debrid API key in the setup wizard
  4. 4. Copy the WebDAV URL and credentials provided

Recommended for beginners: ElfHosted handles all the technical setup. Just enter your Real-Debrid key and get a WebDAV URL.

3.3 Option B: Self-host Zurg (Advanced)

If you have technical skills, you can run Zurg yourself using Docker or as a standalone binary.

  1. 1. Get Zurg from GitHub
  2. 2. Configure with your Real-Debrid API key
  3. 3. Run with rclone to expose WebDAV
  4. 4. Note your WebDAV URL (usually http://localhost:8080)

Advanced users only: Requires Docker knowledge and a server/computer running 24/7.

3.4 What you'll need from this step

Whichever method you choose, you'll need these three things to connect Infuse:

  • WebDAV URL — e.g., https://yourname.elfhosted.com/zurg
  • Username — provided by your WebDAV service
  • Password — provided by your WebDAV service

Step 4: Connect Infuse to WebDAV

4.1 Add a new share

  1. 1. Open Infuse on your Apple device
  2. 2. Tap Settings (gear icon)
  3. 3. Go to Shares
  4. 4. Tap + Add Share

4.2 Configure WebDAV connection

  1. 1. Select WebDAV as the share type
  2. 2. Enter your WebDAV details:
    • Address: Your WebDAV URL
    • Username: From your WebDAV service
    • Password: From your WebDAV service
  3. 3. Give it a name like "Real-Debrid"
  4. 4. Tap Save

4.3 Verify the connection

  1. 1. Infuse will test the connection automatically
  2. 2. You should see a green checkmark if successful
  3. 3. If it fails, double-check your WebDAV URL and credentials

Step 5: Browse and play content

5.1 Browse your library

  1. 1. Go back to the main Infuse screen
  2. 2. Tap Files at the bottom
  3. 3. You'll see your Real-Debrid share listed
  4. 4. Tap it to browse your Real-Debrid downloads

5.2 Enable metadata fetching

Infuse can automatically fetch movie posters, plot summaries, and other metadata:

  1. 1. Go to Settings → Library
  2. 2. Enable "Metadata Fetching"
  3. 3. Infuse will scan your library and fetch artwork

Tip: Use the Library view instead of Files for a beautiful, organized interface with posters and metadata.

5.3 Play content

  1. 1. Browse to a movie or TV episode
  2. 2. Tap to play — Infuse will stream directly from Real-Debrid
  3. 3. Enjoy buffer-free 4K/HDR streaming with no transcoding
🎉

You're all set!

You can now stream your Real-Debrid library with Infuse's beautiful interface. Your watch progress and library will sync across all your Apple devices automatically.

Troubleshooting

Can't connect to WebDAV
  • • Double-check your WebDAV URL — it should start with http:// or https://
  • • Verify username and password are correct
  • • If using ElfHosted, make sure your subscription is active
  • • If self-hosting, ensure Zurg/rclone is running
  • • Check firewall settings if accessing from outside your network
No files showing up
  • • Make sure you have downloaded content in Real-Debrid
  • • Check your Real-Debrid downloads page at real-debrid.com
  • • Verify Zurg is configured with the correct API key
  • • Try refreshing the share in Infuse (pull down on the file list)
Playback buffering or stuttering
  • • Check your internet connection speed — 4K requires 25+ Mbps
  • • Try playing a lower quality file to test
  • • Real-Debrid servers may be under load — try again later
  • • On Apple TV, make sure you're using wired Ethernet for best performance
  • • Disable any VPN connections (not needed with Real-Debrid)
Metadata not loading
  • • Make sure "Metadata Fetching" is enabled in Settings → Library
  • • Check your file names — they should include movie/show title and year
  • • Example: "Movie Name (2024).mkv" or "Show Name S01E01.mkv"
  • • Try manually editing metadata (long press → Edit)
  • • Give Infuse time to scan — large libraries can take a while
WebDAV requires Infuse Pro
  • • WebDAV connections are a Pro feature
  • • Purchase Infuse Pro from Settings → Infuse Pro
  • • Choose annual subscription ($10/year) or lifetime ($15 one-time)
  • • Free version only supports local files and some cloud services

Tips for the best experience

📺 Use Apple TV for home theater

Infuse on Apple TV delivers the best experience for big-screen viewing. Supports Dolby Vision, Atmos, and 4K HDR with direct play — no transcoding.

🔄 Sync across devices

Sign in to iCloud on all devices. Your watch progress, favorites, and library will sync automatically between iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, and Mac.

🎬 Organize with folders

Keep your Real-Debrid downloads organized in folders (Movies, TV Shows). Infuse's metadata fetching works best with properly named files in clear categories.

⚙️ Customize player settings

Settings → Playback lets you configure subtitle styling, audio passthrough, and playback preferences. Match audio output to your sound system for best quality.

🌐 No VPN needed

Real-Debrid streams via encrypted HTTPS. Your ISP only sees traffic to Real-Debrid servers, not the content. VPNs can actually slow down streaming.

💾 Manage storage

Infuse caches metadata and artwork locally. If storage fills up, clear the cache in Settings → General → Reset Infuse → Clear All Metadata.
